Another website suggests that if the Capri name is used again it will be on an SUV/CUV...with 4 doors. Ford, and others, tease potential buyers with 2 door concepts but aside from the Bronco and Mustang all they build is vehicles with 4 doors.
Still, I have owned a 73 Capri, and a couple of Mustangs and would consider trading in my 06 Mustang for this concept.

You should avoid showing clips and pics of MK1 Capri next to those renderings. It makes renderings look like children drawings and the old design looks even more timeless and untouchable. Another thing is electric Capri? To me it is similar to SUV Mustang. Awful ! Better leave Capri alone....

It's a great idea in principal but I feel that it is in fact a pipe dream. I have a 1973 Mercury Capri with the 2000 4 cylinder, and I keep asking myself why they disappeared.

The Pinto shared the same engine, and it got a bad rap too. I think its because of their economy, I think America wasn't ready for their kind of economy in the 1970s, and remaking it would start to stir up those memories more. The only thing I would see Ford making Capri wise is an EV.

My mate had had a 2.8 injection Capri, it was a beast, any Ford engine back in the day over 2.4 litres was made by Cosworth.

Loved my Capris. Owned a v6 and 4 banger, both 76. Wish I had the black v6 again.
