Synopsis

I can see what Franco's going for here. The quality that comes from this less-than-one-minute teaser fits the mood of the novel in my opinion. I honestly think this will be a great portrayal of McCarthy's story. The people talking trash on here need to remember that all this is is a teaser. You can't even think about judging a movie until a full length trailer comes out. Until then, I have high hopes for this movie.

Looks to be nice and gritty. I like the cast. James Franco started with Blood Meridian and turned to this instead. Also I think Ridley Scott wanted to make Blood Meridian but had to bail because of it's immense story line. BLOOD MERIDIAN!

Saw this film at Austin Film Festival...

Never thought I'd feel bad for a necrophiliac, serial-killer, but I did.

I think this trailer represents the fucking weird tone and pace of the film better than any of the other trailers they've put out so far.

scott haze portrayed him to perfection the movie made you feel more for lester the movie/book is truly a sad tale of ones who deal with mental illness and have no help around them i dont know what mccarthy went for with his character lester but just a very good book and movie the movie left some things out but oh well

Was looking forward to this as Child of God is currently my favourite novel.
Something tells me that this won't be as good as The Road or No Country, though.

He's shown a strong interest in Blood, but he blew it off to make Child of God first. I think he wants to do one of Faulkner's works, too.
I'm extremely concerned - for McCarthy's sake...

Considering that all of his directing Credits are "experimental", yeah this is a NYU Film Class Project, he also got fired from "The Garden of Last Days" because he wanted to use an amateur crew.
