New PCBs from JLCPCB - I've now done all 6 colours

A white PCB to distribute power to 14 other boards. A green PCB to offset 3 potentiometers from their main board.

Just a note to jlcpcb assembly: You can not send them the parts. They only use the parts they have avalible. Plus they "only" have a few hundret basic parts. The rest you have to pay to get the reel changed (3$). All parts will be bought by them, so you most likely have to redesign the boards (I have done that and now I am waiting impatiently).
However the prices are really reasonable since they just use the prices from LCSC. Just be careful with some of their non asian parts. They can get quite expensive.

As far as I know they should open this option up for everyone soon and it is already working for china. Results look really good.

Hi Julian, Vocoder is coming along nicely. Just one thing with the pots on the bottom being upside down surely they are going to be a bit strange to use: The ones on the top will have a pretty normal stroke, say 7 o'clock to 5 o'clock with the 6 o'clock position out of bounds, but the bottom ones are going to go 1 o'clock to 11 o'clock with the 12 o'clock position out of bounds.

i am new to jlcpcb thanks to your site. PCB prices are good, easyeda is good. I have had no luck with 3d PCB yet.
The shipping seems to be the killer though. more expensive than the PCBs.

A good way to make an audio device unreliable is to ave lots of plugs and sockets in the design. You would be better putting it all on one large PCB, or maybe two with one for the panel. Connections become noisy after a while, especially if they are not carrying much current.

I can't help but wonder if the use of a SMPS and your distribution boards aren't going to introduce a whole load of unwanted noise into your audio project.

I'm glad I order from JLCPCB for the price and quality only :) It seems they send the "gifts" only to YouTubers. I have 9 orders now (not boards) and I got one pen. Again, I do not order for the gift, though the magnifier would be nice!

Regarding the power supply board with the edge connectors...

You could have wired the edge connectors in parallel and on the connector board, just install the connectors on the back side of the board.

I prefer elecrow.com since JLCPCB writes a long number onto my PCB. They are supposed to make my board and not mess with my design.

Just ordered my first 5 boards from jlcpcb they were 160mm by 160mm the bill 4 dollars per board witch is not to bad for a sbc computer very easy to order after your videos great work. are you taking a break from the breadboard computer or are you still working out the re-programmable counter fsm?
