If using Bambu filament, wouldn’t a Bambu printer automatically change the necessary settings based on the different filaments?

Any tips for Overture Gold Silk PLA on a Bambu A1? Trying to print medals for a work project. Prints look decent but the top layer looks/feels rough! Tried recommendation of setting up a custom filament and tuning it in Orca slicer but it doesn't seem to help. Purchased a filament dryer (for the gold silk pla) with same results. Still very new to 3D printing so I'm not sure what to do to get a smooth print and smooth top layer with this overture silk pla. What do you think I'm doing wrong? Appreciate your time and any help you can offer.
