I met Ma in 1977. being very angry with my own mother and not able to trust women, it was impossible for me to bow for her. Ma doubled up with laughter and called the women around her, pointing at me. I could die on the spot. But sitting in the train afterwards I started singing spontanuously and was filled with a deep, warm and light joy in the core of my heart.

Yes, we can apply the ego, but streaming out into our senses and personality will, in a subtle way, take us further from the deeper self.
