Great to see my Celica being driven like it should be. My totally stock ST205 was always going to lose to the Yaris but when you think she's very nearly 27 years old now and 98K miles on the clock I think she did me proud :)

We know this car and owner well over on CelicaClub, and was a brave move to let Mr Plato loose in it! Its a UK car and has been very well maintained and gone through top to bottom by the owner, and bear in mind it is not only pretty much 27 years old but is also totally stock. "EPB" was also the very same car originally used by a certain Mr Clarkson on a certain other popular car programme, in an old 90s road test with the Ford Escort Cosworth.

Great vid 👍 I own a ST205 and standard they are quite tame. In my opinion Toyota was reserved with the setup of the customer version of the car to make it easy to live with & safe for everyone. But with a few tweaks its not hard to unlock the real power of the GT-Four's 3s-GTE and chassis.

Toyota has built some amazing machines especially in the 90’s. This new GR Yaris is the best Toyota product made in the last decade or so, wish I could get my hands on one! 👍
