Small Taylor Shootout: Baby Taylor, GS Mini and GT

Taylor builds a wide range of fractional-size acoustic guitars, including the Baby Taylor (half size), GS Mini (three-quarter size), and the newest addition to the family, the GT (seven-eighths size). To help illuminate the differences, Austin from the Denver Folklore Center plays a BT2e, GS Mini-e Mahogany, and a GTe Mahogany side-by-side and gives a brief rundown on the differences between each one.

Austin also plugs the GS Mini and the GT in, to showcase the tonal differences between Taylor's ES-B and Expression II pickup systems. Both guitars are played through an AER Alpha 40 watt amplifier with an 8" speaker.

All three guitars are available for purchase from our website!

Been searching for comparisons of baby taylor and gs mini and this is by far the best video I've found. Keep up the good work, guys!

Hey, I've been meaning to buy a new guitar and I really like the GT's body size because it's small enough that it's comfy but big enough that I has some depth and loudness

Do you know any other 7/8 steel string guitars with good quality that would be under $600? I can only find classical ones.

Thanks!

Why did you choose a Banjo song for demoing guitars?
