The Beatles on Ed Sullivan was the biggest thing in music ever. Music changed and so did the industry because of the Beatles

I had a cousin who was kind of a popular Country and Western Music Star in the late 40's and early 50's. He went by the name of Hank Williams.

How are the Beatles on Ed Sullivan so low? Around 70 million Americans watched that live on tv which was like close to half of the American population at that time.

Great new research tool...Google.
Bill Bailey (December 8, 1912 – December 12, 1978) was an African-American tap dancer. He was the brother of Pearl Bailey . Bill was the first person to be recorded doing the Moonwalk, although he referred to it as the "Backslide", in the film Cabin in the Sky (1943), starring Ethel Waters, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson and Lena Horne .

I was told in my music college that when The Beatles touched down in America, a good portion of the people there were actually hired to go crazy!
not entirely how true that is, but I believe it tbh 😅
