Certain character concepts were scrapped in favor of other characters that were included. Originally, Hawkgirl and Stargirl were going to appear in the film, but they removed them in favor of putting Cyclone in the film. Cyclone’s costume is actually a mixture between her usual DC comics green and the purple ribbon one used in the Kingdom Come comics. When Cyclone is first introduced, we see her with a monkey backpack, and this is a reference to her pet monkey that she has in the comics. In the comics, her monkey is called Frankie which is actually a reference to L. Frank Baum, the author of The Wizard of Oz.

I got no issue with the actress but god I hated the slow mo scenes they did with her every time she used her powers. They did that with all the characters but with her is was so damn extra.

Yes, I did know this. Hawkgirl is my favorite DC character and I was so excited when they announced that she’d be in the movie. Now I’m beyond disappointed that they cut her for Cyclone of all people.

I would’ve loved to see Stargirl. But seeing as how she’s already made two recent live action appearances, it’s fair they chose not to use her. As for Hawkgirl, she would’ve been too similar to Hawkman.

I think we need to give Cyclone and Atom Smasher a break, they’re clearly new heroes and I’m presuming they replaced some of the members before them. I think they are good but they’re obviously newer members so I understand why people feel that they’re useless/worthless when they’re not. I do think that they should’ve put Hawkgirl and Stargirl into the movie as well, Stargirl could be another love interest for Atom Smasher while Hawkgirl would have tried to help Hawkman. I definitely would’ve liked to see some of the other original heroes from the JS comics in the team as well.

They probably should have included all of them if they wanted to do a JSA. It didn’t feel like a justice SOCIETY, cuz there were only four of them. It felt like a justice club

Actually the reason they scrapped the concepts is because when they leaked them it caused some legal issues thus why they were scrapped and changed for the movie

You know I wouldn’t have minded both her and Atom Smasher had they actually shown more chemistry and character between the two. Not only did they basically do nothing throughout the entire film, the plot never even gave us a conclusion to their relationship and instead just left it open ended like they forgot or something.
