the current problem with cs2 is that the color black are greyed out. the contrast is off to make it more visible.

That command actually changes the brightness... so is the same as going into settings and change brightness

I prefer the brighter visuals personally but its very cool people who prefer the game to be darker to have the option to change it if they want.

Fun fact I found this setting when ancient and Anubis came out and sent Valve an email full of screenshots and why it’s helpful for players to fix the “too bright” issue. I never posted it publicly and it’s kind of sad my email apparently fell on deaf ears as it’s just now coming out for others to use. I’m afraid they’re dealing with a game and so many changes they did not anticipate so many issues arising at once, might take longer than I thought for a full release ☹️

The brightness slider doesn't work... The gamma command is just doing what the btightness slider is supposed to change.

I had a problem where i couldnt see my console either. A steam page lead me to a a specfic config file that had the line for console position and you have to delete that to get it to appear again.

Finally I won't lose my crosshair again in the bright lit place

Best thing you can do is just change the setting and dont apply. When you apply the changes they reset. Without applying it stays where you left the slider. Its a bug

Hey bro there is a problem for me, every time I launch cs2, i have to always bind the Lshift key for walking. It does not save. And I gotta do it every time . Its annoying bro please help
