Congress questions if Secret Service chief has 'confidence' of American people

Lawmakers grilled the director of the US Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, during a contentious House hearing on Monday, where members of both parties called for her resignation in the wake of the assassination attempt against Donald Trump earlier this month.

The director of the US Secret Service said she took ‘full responsibility’ for any security lapse.
