Snake chasing a chameleon

I missed the beginning of the drama: the chameleon was first spotted hanging from a twig by only one foot. The snake was coiled above it. Next, the chameleon dropped to ground, and started to run. As far as we could follow them, the chameleon finally managed to escape the snake. Looking at the size of the snake, it seemed a hopeless try anyway.

The chameleon is changing its skin, that's why it looks a bit strange here.
