I absolutely agree with the police NOT to pursue charges against the woman. I would have done the same, everybody should have the right to protect themselves, family and home without prosecution. Makes me thankful I Live in a state where the castle law is alive and well.

A woman came to my door yesterday morning. I don't open my door to anyone I don't know and it was 12:30 am. She pleaded that she was a "Nice person" and meant me no harm as she was just hungry and tired. After telling her I couldn't help her and that I wasn't opening the door, she left. I can imagine what could have happened if I had opened the door. I live only a couple of blocks from where a bunch of homeless people live. They're always going through our trash dumpster.

You ask if the police was correct in not filing a suit against a lady who shot someone. YES, they were correct. How can anyone consider it a crime, if you defend your home, and your safety within your own home, if it is invaded by a stranger ?? if one is not allowed to defend oneself, no matter what method being used, than the justice system is failing the people it should protect.
