It happening! The house is actually getting emptied into a trailer to transport all our things! I think this is when it really hit me.
It’s been years since we last moved so I forgot how chaotic it can get!

I have never ever heard of NOBODY WAITING FOR THE MOVING TRUCK TO PULL UP, TO START PACKING UP THE KITCHEN AND TAKING ITEMS OFF THE WALLS 😮! Even, When my sister was in the Service, and the Service moved them, they still packed up themselves and helped 😮!

You can tell they dont move often. They are so unprepared. Disasemble stuff before. Wrap and box before hand. I am moving next year we already started packing.

I feel like that was the best time to vacuum and carpet clean the area rug so it was fresh and ready to use when you get to the new house. I don't want to waste time cleaning the stuff I brought with me if I can do it as I'm packing.
Unpacking and getting everything in its new home is stressful enough without the added chore of removing all dirt and other grime i brought from my old home. That stuff does follow you.

girl you should’ve had that kitchen and like 95% of things packed at least 2 days before moving i know those moving people were pisssed pulling up and your kitchen is still there 😭 my boyfriends dad is a mover and the first time we moved we made the mistake of packing the night before but i most certainly did have a completely empty apartment with everything packed for them to take away. it took 10 minutes.

I just don’t get how you do this ON moving day. I’ve moved 3 times and we are PACKED at least the night before. This is just poor planning really. And even if you don’t want to live out of boxes just have 1 box not all of them to pack 😭😭

Usually you box things up before the truck arrives. The movers must have been disappointed to see that nothing was done. How do you wait until the very last minute?

They need to pack before the moving day, so mover won’t spend as much time just packing their stuff. It will go faster

In desi house holds we pack all the things 2 to 3 days before shifting and sleep on floor for a nights😂😂😂

I start months ahead, it's so overwhelming. I just take my time & box all that's NOT needed. I have everything to a bare minimum 😂

It's always the kitchen which totally exaust your energy 😂. The insane amount of kitchen things we buy but never use, just getting pilled up in some kitchen corner. It's insane😅😅

I learned years ago to mix glass and plastic dishes together the plastic works as protection against breakage and the boxes aren't as heavy. Also use your kitchen and bathroom towels and even bedding to wrap breakables saves on wrap works great

Moving is so much more difficult than I realized. Thank God you had help!! A couple of tips if you use brown paper bags for your glasses it's so easy to wrap quickly. Also your dishes should be up and down not flat, less chance of them cracking
