This seems like one of those old school gran tourismo B-level tests 😂

That cars got at least 7 laps of fuel in it and the temp gauge didn’t even move. Fair play 👌

I love the A2. 20 years old and it still looks fresh. Years before its time!

The guy not talking with Misha makes Misha look like a schizo😂

Proof that it's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow!

Misha Schmid's curve times:
23 years old Audi A2 = 69 km/h
Steeda Q767 Ford Mustang Dark Horse = 68 km/h
Eargasmic Porsche 997 GT3 RS! = 67 km/h

This is way more fun to watch than some other cars like a GT3 porsche 😂😂

I had the same model. The back seats are very heavy. Definitely take those out, the luggage cover and false boot floor. Take out the Audi floor mats too. They are very plush and heavy.

Fit Audi A3 magnesium wheels and it then weighs less than 800kgs.

That looked like a lot of fun 😁 A Polo GTi engine would be an interesting upgrade for sure.

Great to see the A2 getting some recognition. A little secret... the A2 1.4 tdi remapped to around 120bhp with a 6-speed embarrases alot of big cars on public roads. Now if only, one could make it to the Ring... then.

The faster the car, the less Misha talks. He talked the whole time 😁

These cars are a guilty pleasure
the chassis is based off the pq24 platform of cars, so that’s your fabia, polo, Ibiza, a1 etc

But because the chassis is made of aluminium and aluminium is a weak metal alloy everything has been designed with overkill in mind, so the a, b and c pillars are overly thick.. the suspension pic up points are solid, chassis legs robust…this creates a mega stiff chassis.. where the other cars in the same family arnt known for inspiring handling, these a2s handle in an amazing way with high cornering speeds as demonstrated in the vid.. incidentally it has the widest track of the family too.

The 1.4 aua has the sweetest chassis out of the a2 range as it’s an aluminium block which weighs 90kilos…. a good 45 kilos lighter then the diesel over the front axle so weight distribution is very close to a 50:50 split

This car is a secret that very few know about when it comes to handling balance as most people can’t get over the looks..

The perfect engine for this car would be the 1.0tsi chzc 3 pot engine that you get in the Volkswagen up Gti! It weighs 93kilos and with a hybrid turbo is good for 190ps.

Strengthen the rods like you would do in a bam and the engines good for 300ps in a 1 litre with the use of an is38 turbo found in a golf r.

This engine with 190ps paired with a diet and some light weight 3l model suspension parts could get one of these stripped out a2s down to 750kgs

It would be a monster on track.

That’s so cool, not many people do that to/with their A2. It’s built rather rigid from factory. Give it audi 1.4tfsi, and full ABT everything from polo/A1 or something. OR, ask the guy that built that ridiculous Skoda Felicia about his 1.6 engine 😂,
6-speed with long-ish gearing… 👌❤️

5:33 This M4 cutting your line at Fuchsröhre shocked me for a moment! This reckless move could have ended badly.

I had a 1.4 petrol 2002 in dark blue I bought the car in UK with 72k miles sold it with 128k and was so gutted!...The car returned very good mpg and reliable not like a lot of Audi's today....I am sure it will become a classic car!
👍🤜🏽

In the 1.4 TDI atl (90hp stock) at least my car has a asr button in the center console to take traction control off. Normally it comes back on like 60 km/h speed, but I think If you keep pushing it it stays off.

And yes A2 is much fun at 120 hp, but you can tune the 1.4 TDI to much higher hp levels than that quite easily.

ATL engine just with bigger turbo you can push out 140-160 hp depending how much fuel you want to push from stock injectors. I stay at 70mg levels.
If you put also bigger injectors you can push the engine close to 200hp levels. This equals only 266hp if it were 1.9TDI which its based on so not even sweating yet concerning reliability.

You might need of course new clutch but that's general maintenance.

Oh and with the 6 speed long gearbox it can go under 3 liter consumption at 100 km/h speeds if you have LRR tires that are not too track oriented width. My personal target is 2 liter consumption at 100km/h speed with aerodynamic part kit and many mechanical mods.

If interested more in my channel.

It’s so fun to drive slow cars really fast. I had an 84 Honda CRX. Thing was maybe pushing 75 HP to the wheels, one of the cars I had the most fun in, ever! 😂

2:36 We are going uphill and the RPM is dropping, that's a new experience for me.

Welcome to the real world, Misha.
