Yea your ip address is not important because you can just change it plus an ip address shows an area not a direct spot so if they try to find you, they would search for miles to find the direct spot.

Also a well known one that I fell for was an API scam, if your a trader someone will ask you if you have "poisoned items" they will ask you to put an ID into the box on the website then they will block u and all of your items will be gone.
