Video chat is simply an ID verification method. It's the only current option for a new account set up in most states. The rep asked ZERO questions, except what i had already provided when I signed up initially. Asked me to hold my driver's license up to the camera about 5 times, then it was done. It's not an interview... lol

This video call is the worst and so creepy. Too much is going on. No way has Amazon been trying to help, they're trying to get as much personal data as possible. If they were trying to help to prevent excessive documentation steps they would have got rid of the excessive documentation steps. Such a drag. They should outline all of the steps beforehand. Also someone said this call is just gor professional sellers but I'm setting up as an individual.

I held my ID up and I think she took me a picture with it. I have never been treated like this before and have been searching online if somone also did the same. Thanks for sharing because I have been crying after doing that with my greencard. I feel a bit intimidated. I froze, it dawned on me and I couldn't ask her why. Confused... Once I'm on the actual video call are they going to want to see a printed copy of my bank statement, or can they accept a pdf during the call? Thanks.

Nothing to worry about, just go through instructions properly before uploading the documents and it will only take 5 minutes to complete it if everything is fine or else you can do changes during video verification also if u have documents ready, otherwise you may have to reschedule...

Because I have newly helped many of my friends to register on amazon but there is nothing like the screen you displayed. I know that there are a lot of people registering like this and arranging a voideo call but I have not seen some thing like that till now. Do you have any information about that? I’m going to have a video verification in two days as I passed all steps
My question is: I’m not sure to tell them that my old account as beginner never use it to sell on Amazon, the account was suspended due to misunderstanding to provide a documents properly,
Do I have to mention them about the old one which is i’ve never had a chance to completing the verification process or just keep with this one?
