DESAUTEL - Lithium-ion battery: A new fire risk

With a lifespan and energy capacity of the most efficient, "Lithium-ion" batteries have established themselves in the electrical equipment of our daily lives (Smartphones, laptops, electronic cigarettes, scooters, tools, etc.).

Unfortunately, these new batteries present, in the event of an anomaly, a risk of fire that is difficult to control compared to a so-called “classic” fire.

Desautel has developed a new extinguisher to fight this new type of fire and explains why these batteries are so special to put out.
