Here are some tips (If you don't want to use them then sure that is up to you)
1. Try upgrading your cookies skill level as it makes them WAY stronger (At the beggining i wasn't doing it amd my cookies were so weak)
2.Try using epic and super epic cookies as well, some good epic cookies are : Creme brule cookie, cream puff cookie, fetucinee cookie.
3. Use good topping so lets say you have pure vanilla here (You do Have him) and the best toppingnfor him are probablly those that make his skill recharge time smaller so I think Swift Chocolate is good for that.
On the other hand there is Shadow Milk Cookie a very good attacker so for him i would reccomend raspberry topings with Crit and Atk effects (the ones you see at the bottom when you click a topping) Its also probablly good if you would equip 5 of the same toppings as if I remember correctly if you equip 5 of the same toppings (Lets say raspberry) you get a special effect.
Also try using some special toppings like the deceitful yopoings for shadow milk cookie.
4. Have either a charge or a defense cookie in your team as it increases survival chances of your attacking cookies in the back, Some good choices are :Dark Cacao Cookie (His awakened version is even better), Burning Spice Cookie, Elder Faerie Cookie, there are more but these are personally ones I use.

I would really recommend you getting mystic flour in your team, she saved me countless times from having all my cookies dead, she really is buffed alongside shadow milk cookie, if you dont have her then use pure vanilla for now, he does the job well

You should replace pvc until you awaken him because he isnt a great healer non awakened meanwhile awakened pvc is the best healer in the game

I can’t say nothing except replace pure vanilla with snapdragon and level up shadow milk after if you go to the new boss rush game mode you can get a free level 80 potion with the coins I did that and my shadow milk has 500k power
