So, you love games of abstract strategy, but you're tired of the same old military-themed matches. Well then, welcome to the Hive: a kinder, gentler, board-less game that will flex your brain's left hemisphere and put your strategic planning skills to work. The object of Hive is to surround your opponent's Queen Bee with ants, spiders, beetles and grasshoppers. Each bug-themed piece has its own way of moving, resulting in endless strategies and counter-strategies. Sometimes called "nature's chess," this highly addictive two-player game is well designed, superbly crafted and never, ever tested on bugs. Hive comes with a handy carrying case, making it a smart travel game.

Just some quick things I think that were left out.

Winning: to win the queen bee doesn't need to be surrounded by just your pieces, it can be the players own pieces too.

Placement: you can place your pieces only on hex spaces that do not touch your opponents color.  This rule does not apply to the player who puts down the first hex, who can just put down any piece they want anywhere on the table for their first piece only.

the Beetle:  When the beetle is on top of another hex that hex takes on the color of the player whose beetle is on top regardless of what is under the beetle.  This is only really important for placement rules.

This wasn't a tutorial. It's a spotlight and summary of a game to pique interest. If your interest is piqued by their short video, you should buy the game which includes full instructions, or see one of the MANY other videos that are full tutorials.

This would have been a great review but there are two important things that you missed. 1st you did not explain how the game starts. Secondly, you did not explain the goal of the game and how it ends. It needs a redo.
