Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Unboxing and Review

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 'space black' is a worthy successor to last year's Redmi Note 6 Pro. Xiaomi caused a Pocophone-type hype for the sub $150 category and the 'how' is not that far fetched as seen in this review video. The Redmi Note 7 is not without cons, it still lacks a front firing flash and uses a hybrid SIM rather than a true dual SIM card which most phone brands are on board with in 2019. The rest would be nit-picking.

PS. Battery life got even better (about 10 hours SOT) after the latest MIUI 10.3.5 update which is very stable. For now, no bugs discovered yet.

Bought it. Flashed it with Evolution X Custom Rom, working like magic

[Intially,
I have tried Pixel Experience /Experience Plus ROM - laggy especially when making calls, flashlight heats up

Tried Havoc OS, flashlight doesn't work but faster than Pixel Experience, good for gaming

Switched to Oxygen OS, fast but looked like OnePlus 6T UI and I didn't like it. Tho it's smooth and fast

Now using Evolution X 4.1 on my redmi note 7, perfect ROM

Note: Xiaomi doesn't allow unlocking bootloader instantly, you need to download mi unlock software for desktop (windows) and wait till a week before unlock bootloader.

Use OrangeFox Recovery to flash your redmi.

I was scared..lol took the risk. What more can I say, Evolution X is a beast on redmi note 7. Try it!! Thank You Okafor, you made me switch to Redmi note 7.

Compare it with y9... But first select performance mode in y9 then speed test
