Season 8 Episode 1

This is the start of Season 8, which is focused on the Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, but that game was released bundled with a remake of the third Zelda Title, A Link to the Past. So, to kick things off we’re going to spend a couple episodes revisiting that game and pointing out some of the changes between the two versions. I’m basing much of these episodes off of my Season 3 scripts – but with some updates, and a few corrections. This episode is focused on the developmeny and Legacy of A Link to the Past.

Legendary Adventures is a Legend of Zelda playthrough podcast. I’m exploring the evolution of the Zelda game series by playing through each game in release order, excluding spin-off releases.

The sense of nostalgia I get every time I watch a video about these games is crazy!! From the sound of that signature music, to the graphics and story; it was a fun time to be a gamer!

This came out my freshman year in high school. I remember faking sick for an entire week to stay home and marathon this. My parents were separated at the time and in hindsight I think my mom was just indulging me. Anyway, this game got me through a rough time, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Yay! I enjoy your channel so much. I, like so many others, have such fond memories of playing these games with friends, family and even just by ourselves. Zelda is probably my favorite game franchise ever, nevermind Nintendo specific titles alone. I would like to impress upon you just how much I enjoy your content. I listen to these while working and relaxing I'm usually in a better mood after watching your videos due to the the aforementioned treasured recollection. These games mean so much to so many people myself included and so therefore by extant your videos are very important. Thank you so much for all the work and time that you pour into your Channel. I guess in closing I would just say keep up the great work, always remember to take care of yourself/ health first and I hope this comment finds you well and in good spirits and company. Take care friend ✌️

One of my favorites A Link to the Past is the one that got me into the Zelda series

A Link to The Past really does seem to be the point where the series found it's groove and came into it's own from both a storytelling and gameplay standpoint. Looking forward to watching cover the rest of this game and the extra GBA dungeon.

It is interesting that the closet we have gotten to a single player Zelda game with a “party” is Tears of the Kingdom, but only sort of.

Of course the 4 Swords games were multiplayer party games, but I found the GBA one hard to play because I could not get my friends to all want to play it at the same time.

I remember my first time playing through this game when i was a kid. (Like 8 or 9) - i didnt know it kept count of deaths. I was so surprised i had died 203 times! (That number is burned into my memory.) I had to do it again and try for no deaths. Needless to say i played through this game easily 20 times. Just recently did a run tonsee how quickly i could do it with getting all items, maps compasses includes, and heart pieces. Just under 4 hours. I think i can do better though! Thanks for the videos!

Tip: The "u" in "Kensuke" isn't really pronounced, same in similar names like "Sasuke". Otherwise your Japanese pronunciation is generally pretty good.
