Silhouette America Mint machine. A DIY solution for creating custom stamps

This video describes how to make your own customized stamps using the Mint machine by Silhouette America. Included with the purchase of a Mint is the custom software, Mint Stuido Studio. This software allows you to design your own stamps. You can use your own images, inlcuding a photo, or the digital library of Silhouette images. Any idea if this ink will hold on plastic or is it strictly a paper ink? Water or alcohol based?

This would be great if you could use regular stamp pads. Inking the thing is way too much trouble for me to bother with. I think more thought needs to be put into this design and concept before I would consider buying it.

What happens when you have finished with your 50 stamps? Is it unusable or can you re-ink? Can you also use regular ink pads with the stamp ( if you don't mind the stamp always being the same colour?)

Nice idea, but stamp material is really expensive. Would have thought that these days when everyone is going to clear stamps you choose to make the large wood awkward stamps.

Having to use a wooden block and a specific ink, took the awe, out of it for me...Too many parts and too much work. Nope, will keep buying pre-made until someone comes up with a better solution!

You should not buy a Silhouette Mint machine, the company that manufactures the buffer sheets has stopped manufacturing the sheets. Indeed, the company CASIO stopped manufacturing consumables for the MINT machine in 2023, it's RUBBISH!!!

Looks like a massive waste of ink and then you get only a few perfect stamps. Also, there are much easier processes for stamps these days so I think it's a no for this product, sorry.
