God, the feels! It's just... so sad! Such a bittersweet ending, I don't wanna spoil it though so I won't say (though chances are if you're listening to this song you already have reached the end and know). It's so beautiful, and hopeful, but heartbreaking at the same time. Poor Alice... Poor Deemo...! I also really love how it sort of incorporates elements from Magnolia and Myosotis, very clever and thematically fitting! I notice it particularly at "Your melody remains in this room and it rings!" and "Your melody becomes a part of my whole world!" My only complaint is the lyrics are a bit hard to hear at times and there are times in the song too where it sounds discordant and jumbled and it hurts my ears. Otherwise though another beautiful and amazing piece by M2U and the creator of Deemo!

I'm not quite sure, because I've never played this game (only listened to their M2U songs) but maybe, as we see in the lyrics, this song talk about a bereavement, and can make more sense with the fact that this song is called "Marigold", this flower is original from Mexico, and in its native language (named "Cempasúchil" in Nahuatl) means "Flower of 20 petals", used for offerings and gifts for the dead, and still being a traditional day, in november 2th we celebrate "El día de los muertos" (day of the dead) were people make offerings for their dead relatives with this flower as the main detail.

Magnolia and Myosotis and Marigold are the main song at Deemo so thats why there are bunch of flowers and crystals and especially alice. im addicted to this song and myosotis except magnolia

I swear this song and the story of the whole game always makes me cry! So beautiful but so sad. It really hits home for me too, because I too am the little sister of a kind and loving older brother. Well, one of them, at least. Either way it's so heartbreaking because I deeply love my older brother and would be devastated (much like poor Alice) if he died. It's also sad because it reminds me of a classmate of mine who actually did die tragically in a car accident. He didn't play the piano, but he did play the violin and it was his passion. He was very good at it, far better than me. Rest in peace, and may the drunk bastard that stole your life suffer for the rest of his.
