USB is awesome because it's accessible worldwide, quite easily so for most of us. And very easy to capture enough via solar for 5v electronics.

Brilliant, this just gave me the idea on how to limit the temperature of a heating element without a complicated thermostatic switch!

Said it before and I say it again .this man and channel is leaving the world a better place than he found it . Great role model for the younger generation to look up to

Just a note. Over the years I have found that some USB cables use very thin copper or even aluminium which results in a high resistance in the cables. This is due as those cables probably came with a small mp3 player which only needed a low charge current hence higher resistance cables did not make any difference. I've actually seen cables with 1 ohm in the positive and 1 ohm in the negative wire. So there is 2 ohms in the cable already.. Rather nasty so best watch out.

This is cool. You can buy clothes that have essentially this inside them on Amazon with the batteries. Socks are a great choice.
Also, if you were wanting to use a bit more power, you could get a USB-C kit I linked to in a previous video of yours that will let you switch between 6, 9, 12, 15, and 20 volts at 5 amps. This would give you more options in sizing the heater, as well as the ability to choose different temperatures.
These are only a few bucks and are a great way to transform your older electronics to USB-C power.

Ive been wondering what to do with the countless scrapped USB cables I’ve collected over the years after using them to the point of inoperability, and Ive been watching this channel for over a year now and boy do I love it because of bits of gold like this.

You want it to last longer.

Get a bigger battery.

No nonsense advice combined with a generosity of spirit, unequalled in this field.

You Sir, remain a champion of our times and an exceptional innovator and more.

This is real knowledge. We are but grist for the Mill.

A double pocket warmer as the battery heats up, as well.

This is going to be an awesome way for keeping my pet reptiles cozy for trips to the veterinarian or on a very long upcoming move next year. Thank you!

I like it!

Get the balance just right and you can have the heater in one pocket, the battery in the other and warm hands in both!

That would make a fancy fanny warmer for all the birds.

I used my USB wire to power an LED panel after an hurricane (Ida) knocked out the power in 2021. I had a 5V COB LED panel which already had the leads tinned, so I just connected them with clips to provide some room lighting from a power bank. I used a small battery torch to find and connect the parts and locate some candles, of course.

Lol love the good old intro. You can also hook two 9v batteries to each other and they will warm up pretty nicely. Might make a usb heater for my truck

You could clip the spare wires, use them as a “heater coil”(with the length of the ground and +ve wires)

With using thin wires @ 5v do not use less than 1.35 metres length, experiment with length to get the desired temperature. Start long and shorten until desired temperature reached 👍

Heated gloves, mittens, insoles, jackets, Ebike battery warmer for cold weather.

A single 1850 2600mah battery lasts about 2 hrs

An Ankar powerbank 20100 mah lasts significantly longer 7.8 hrs
