1:25 Octave jumps... it's always easier to come up with terminology after the fact, though. Good sound production is doing wonders for today's beat-boxers on YouTube. It makes me wish I had gotten into it when I was a musician full time. Did you know you can mimic at least 9 different recognizable percussion sounds on a baritone saxophone? Never went anywhere with it, though. I haven't played in years, now. :/ Question for y'all: how would you use classify a beat-boxer? I think the standard thinking is that they're a type of vocalist. I would argue that they're instrumentalists because the microphone isn't just an amplifier for a beat-boxer. They play it.
