Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

Forward Collision Warning (FCW) System can detect vehicles ahead, determine if a collision is likely and alert the driver, to reduce the stress of driving in traffic while also providing an increased level of active safety for the driver.

The system uses a camera in concert with millimeter-wave radar to detect vehicles ahead. If the system detects a vehicle in front and determines that a collision may occur, it will trigger visual and audible alerts. A “Brake” message appears on the MID and a series of beeps alert the driver to apply the brakes. FCW will not automatically brake and the driver remains responsible for safely operating the vehicle and avoiding collisions.
