If anything, I feel like this figure wouldn"t have been banned for its "inappropriate" transformation method, but rather the fact that it transforms into a gun (regardless of its level of realism), similar to the G1 Megatron debacle.

I have the blue version. Another difference other than the colour change from black to blue is that the blue versions gun barrel isn’t orange it’s all silver.

I can't exactly recall but there was a gobot that transforms into a crane truck, but the extending crane is located at the crotch of the gobot itself like what was done with this Punisher toy.

Reminds me back in the day when everyone was saying that the Star Wars Unleashed "Perky" Padme figure had been recalled. It never was. They were around long enough to go into clearance.

Someone knew, they HAD to know! As for outrage, the only anger I know these caused was when the kids got angry at their older siblings or parents for taking them to shoot them at each other outside. These are hilarious. Anyone I know who has one of these has it displayed loudly and proudly on their shelf. Panic shmanic I wish they'd bring these back so I could get a few at a reasonable price. 😂 I'd hand them out to everyone at the next reunion. 🤣
Anyways, great video. Glad you cleared the air about the whole "banning" BS. I really do wish they'd bring these back, even though they'd have to alter it to shoot nerf tips. OMFG, can you picture it loaded with one of those?! 🤣🤣

bullshit no one notice, because you have to test the figure by manipulating the prototype so see if it all works, if a kid wouldnt bend to the wrong direction etc. they knew. but it was too late in the process to make changes. since that would mean new plates for molding
