I am working at a deemed-to-be university, and the situation here is in a dire state. Faculty members are trapped in an unfavorable environment. Over the past ten years, most staff have been working with the same salary, except few. The university is even refusing to issue No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for attending interviews elsewhere. There are numerous issues that need to be addressed to establish a sustainable system.

Yeah. I have heard that even in DU, faculty is not appointment basis merit, it is 'appointed' by politicians etc.
