Here I show you a stock Link pin axle assembly and compare it to the popular Heavy Duty "Combo" Spindle assembly. I am also replacing the worn out Link Bushings.

Thanks for the info. I have a combo spindle front end on my Baja and you opened my eyes on the parts used to make it. Shocking and amazing. I SUBBED!

Thank you EZGZ! I found your videos recently by watching those crazy kids on the Dust Buggy channel : )
I have probably watched 25 or more of your videos in the last two months and find them very informative!
It is obvious that you have many years of trial and error surrounding VW and aftermarket products. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge so that we can learn from your mistakes and successes. You are an Angel among the YouTube VW World!
Thank You for your willingness to share and teach, to help us to keep our own VW's On and Off the road!

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Iam in the process of doing my bushes in a 67 Beetle and your information is gold to me.
Once again thank you and take care.
Regards from down under.

holy play. Man sucks to see one guy do it wrong like that, with such a simple mistake. I appreciate your videos so much, it's like every process of my beetle research leads me to your videos full of info.

I love your videos EZ. Your old-school style and love of VW is inspiring to say at least. Thanks you brother and keep up the good work

Don't know if you read this or not. But damn thanks.
Those combo spindles are big time beefed up compared to my weanie HD VW knuckle and spindle. I am looking into obtaining a set of those and my build is brand new and I'm a first time builder in the dune buggy world. Thanks those are so much bigger and hv the muscle I want I like big heavy duty parts that will handle the punishment. Thanks again

Super video, so informative. That's the thing I like, figuring things out then fixing and making it work. Super job buddy . Have a great weekend. VW:-)

Your videos are great EZGZ! I like that the knowledge that you seem to have is old school, thanks for passing it along.
Now quit messing with that beam and make an A Arm setup! Just kidding, lol.

WZGZ, you have some of the best videos on Volkswagen repairs. Wondering if you might be able to help me as my trailing arms on my front end are frozen in urethane bushings. I have tried multiple things including a 13lb Slide hammer without success. Any recommendations would be awesome.
I have a long travel front suspension, 6 inch wider beam and trailing arms 2.25 (2 1/4) longer than stock, 1.375 (1 3/8) wider then stock.
Thanks Michael H

Good one . Link pin front ends require more maintenance than a ball joint front end, new people to vw, s should be made aware of this. Thanks.

Can't believe the previous owner was that dumb not to grease it. When I take mine out that I use for hunting and fishing I jack the front end up to grease everything whether I had 1 mile or 200 miles on the back roads the previous trip. Off-road is brutal on components and grease is cheap. Good videos.

hello mr. Greg. thanks for sharing. this is a dirty repair indeed. and it has to be, it requires lots and lots of grease. what are the advantages of this combo stuff over the original one?

Do the hubs mount the same way as a normal VW or is it a bigger?

Hey EZ, thanks for the great vid! I broke one of the link pin bolts on my combo spindle due to excessive wear on the brass bushing. Where did you find the mild steel one? I couldn't find it anywhere! Should I even go with the mild steel or replace with another brass and lube more often? Cheers

Do these provide any lift to the front suspension? What are the benefits to replacing your stock king and link pin's with these other than strength? Thanks
