for smart cutout u need green screen on your background organically by recording and then you can cute out perfectly. mask option u have to use add mask option. thats pretty good option by new fearture and opacity of each mask by marking control

This video was very helpful; thank you. I’ve used Filmora 11 and 12 but was not excited by Filmora 13’s new feature bullet points. You have a done a thorough and fair assessment. After watching this I see no need for me to upgrade to 13 because the new AI tools will not help me with YouTube content creation.

Bottom line for me: I got Da Vinci Resolve (full version) for free with a Black Magic Design 6K camera I bought 2 years ago - the Filmora software was still attractive for me for "quick and dirty" video editing (that's just an expression - I'm not referring to any sort of naughty stuff) - I was mainly using it for footage shot with a Panasonic GH5 - which I've held on to. So - there I was - paying out a monthly subscription to Wondershare for their Filmora 12 version - and - every so often - an update - at no extra cost. Lately an "upgrade" - not an "update" (I do understand the distinction) to Filmora 13 was offered to me - it turns out to be an "offer I cannot refuse" as my attempts to export videos I've edited with my current Filmora 12 - without a watermark - have all failed. That is despite Wondershare continuing to take their monthly payment off me. Result: Wondershare has lost this customer - I've cancelled my subscription. Despite being a lawyer, I haven't bothered investigating what Wondershare is up to - I will say it's very user friendly software with - even before the "upgrade" - some pretty useful features. Nevertheless Da Vinci Resolve in its latest version (and remember the abridged version is downloadable for free) has some very clever features too (on top of world class colour grading tools). By all means use (and pay) for the Wondershare product - I just do not like the foregoing sort of practice. Will those who "upgrade" to Filmora 13 be in a similar position to myself in - say 2 years' time - when "Version 14" is launched ????

Great video! I was thinking about upgrading filmora again, but I think the Ai takes away from what you could create. Last filmora I used for my channel was filmora x an I don’t see much of a difference. Also like you said there’s better softwares out there for these specific features that just function better. New sub!

Thanks Jon. Yes it looked like Camtasia recording the wondershare recording based on the mouse effect. What features of the talking head are better? I gather Camtasia is creating three separate files which cam be dealt with in Filmora.

Record PC Screen is very good to send to Filmora to talk about all the problems that I come across. But usually it jumps to the last website you had opened, but they told me to just go to the toolbar and click on the Filmora icon to bring it back to Filmora. One thing I don't like when you film with the green screen is that if you have it playing, the results are not that good, but if you stop the image then they are, no idea why. The figure, whatever it may be, is then a lot more accurate but videos move, so that is a bother. Still, for example, the face will look normal, moving it will be too much black on it.

Thanks for the video. 🤗I have worked 15 years in a biggest broadcasting company as videoeditor in my past. I think wondershare is simple enough and good quality videoediting tool to make social media videos. I was very happy about getting out the text from the video, even it does not support our language (Finnish).

Wow I appreciate this breakdown. I’m excited to incorporate some of these pieces into my editing. However, if I had not been using Filmora for a few years now, I may be too intimidated to learn it. But so many great upgrades. Thanks

I STILL use Filmora version 8 because I have not liked the look / feel / settings on any version since. (not that I LOVE v.8 but...) still looking for a version that is similar to 8 but better. 12 was close but the photo movement feature (where it zooms in and out slightly on each photo) is WAY too pronounced and there's no way to set it to less by default and I HATE the rounded corners (bubbles) each asset is represented as. I prefer the hard squares in v.8 still waiting for a good version.

Am I the only one who thinks that new audio transitions are sharper? Like, the first video fades out, but the second one it feels like it starts right away without fade in...

Yeah, when I first downloaded it I thought that it was going to remove all the dead spaces and the bloopers

Omgoodness….TMI…Just needing to learn as a beginner. Simple…How to create a simple video…with music…Where you can get free music…etc. Step by step…or is there some one else who I need to learn from who teaches more simply?

I have not yet investigated the new AI credit points, but seeing how it is set up, I have a feeling it might be something you need to pay to add if you are using some of those new features ..👀
