There's a big problem in Science, Mathematics and Reading. The teachers are poorly equipped. A few years back, CHED conducted an evaluation of Mathematics teachers' competence. The result was dismal.

There iis so much backlog in school building accomodation for students in public sector causing poor quaityeducation in rural areas especially. The shortage must be prioritize

Remove unecessary subjects. Focus on Reading, English, Math and Science. Remove mother tounge subjects.

Nawala na Kase Yong MGA basic subject noong 70's. Ngayon subrang dami Ng subjects na Ako mismo nagugulohan. Kinder pa Lang loaded na na Hindi naman na iintindihan agad agad Ng bata. May Mali talaga.

PH needs an overhaul throughly. Omit that mother tongue subject replace it with a english and math subject. Then student don't eat to go to school. No food to eat in the house

Not that our education was neglected but rather our teachers in the primary level are not allowed to give a failing grade they were made to explain despite of so many factors e.g. malnutrition thus teachers were compelled to gave a passing grade to avoid additional problems to teachers. Thus when they reached the tertiary educ level they could hardly read and understand english language. Our medium of instruction in college is english. The result is the findings of what you are discussing now.

Even if we have a perfect educational system if our pregnant women and children are not well nourished, no amount of schooling will change our kids brain capacity which is already fully developed during the child first years of life.

Inequality in its finest when in comes to education, the mere fact that proper nutrition may really play a big part and contribute a lot to have that so-called quality education.

Thus the local government shouldn't be limited in developing school facilities and for providing other learning materials and well skilled teachers. But corruption in total to get rid of poverty and inequality.

Too many holidays, before holidays were a month or months apart. Now they happen almost every weeks when in conjunction with city/provincal events as well as typhoon school cancellations when there isn't even any rain. also, too much extra-curricular activities in schools. Put them all together and there is just too little time for education. they even fail in GMRC which the current generation certainly lacks.

I believe that children sent to school generally have cooperative parents; they may simply require additional guidance on effective learning. However, many children these days lack fundamental learning skills. I question whether educators are fully aware of this issue. Children are fed with information and materials that they struggle to comprehend, digest, and apply. It's puzzling that while some Grade 3 students can read a simple English sentence, some Grade 7, 8, 9, or 10 students cannot. What is the catch there?

Actually teachers are not managed well . principals and supervisors must be made accountable more.

The leader of that department were all political thats why it wS neglected. That department should be led by a professional not a politician. Hope Sarah should think of quiting the post and let other lead.
