Yes! (I wear hearing aids) the amount of times I have done that god 😂

I have very acute hearing and my pain threshold is at a much lower decibel level than most people's. (And fibro amplifies all my pain, yay.)

My entire life, I have wanted a mute button for the world. I remember complaining when I was little that my belly button should be a real button and that's what it should do.

I am so jealous of d/Deaf people who have this superpower.

My step son is deaf, but has a cochlear. Me and his dad had a baby last year. I tell him all the time how lucky he is that he can turn off the world when he wants to.

I don't take them out. Just switch them off and the moulds become effective earplugs. No sound can get through then.
