Rashford needs to realise how lucky his life has been. No other job on earth would allow him to strop about putting in zero effort week after week while he earns money that 99% of the world will never see so for it to be made out like he should be carried through the streets like a hero is madness. If hes not scored 10 goals by Christmas we need to look at getting him gone that window. No more excuses hes not a boy hes a senior player who should know better.

He says Ruud might help him. This is a guy who has had elite coaches like Van Gaal and Jose . Had senior strikers like Ronaldo, zlatan, Rooney, Cavani and Falcao. Until last season he had all the ex players/pundits on his side and giving him so much leeway compared to marital. He has had Ole coaching him who was a gun striker. He's 27 now and he still hasn't developed his game. Henry winter is just looking to get his autobiography. So obvious!

The issue with Rashford is his mentality and body language show us a defeated figure. When he was scoring for EtH and doing his celebration it was all about being locked in and focussed for the entire match. Last season he was so far off the mark performance wise then the off field stuff along with the tone deaf statements. He is not beyond reproach or criticism. He is a highly paid footballer that has a habit of playing well every other year. Regardless of who his left back is, he has to perform. When fans feel like they’re more interested in the match than the player it’s not a good look.

Poor choice of words from Joe mentioning ‘hate’
It’s not at all hate or abuse. It’s borne out of frustration. And if you don’t play well or don’t put the effort in, you’ll be criticised!
And he’s deserved that criticism!

I'm so tired of the pity party for Rashford. I swear to God if this guy was from Nicaragua or something people would want him out the club. The issue with Rashford isn't his ability, i wont make a difference that Ruud will tell him 'how to make the runs', the issue his attitude. There were games last season where his workrate was bordering on insulting. And then the fanbase will come out and give him criticism on his performance which is always followed by this backlash saying that he's a human being and all that like hes somehow free from any criticism of his literal job. I can even sympathise if maybe he's depressed or was at times last season or something, I understand and at the end of the day its the manager thats picked you, but the worst is when he then comes out with some essay on social media about how people are 'attacking' him on social media. The thing is there may even be people that are doing that and of course its not justified, but i feel like hes ignoring the sentiment that actually a lot of it is a response to him having had a shit performance. Really, it makes it very difficult to like him when he plays the victim card time and again instead of just putting in a good performance and trying for the team.

Another thing I'll say about Rashford is that he seems to not really have any kind of 'social group' in the squad anymore. The ones he used to belong to would be with players like jesse lingard, pogba and sancho, all players who had had extremely questionable work ethics. As we've gotten to be a more serious squad, he just seems to be lost. He's also one of the more senior players at this stage in his career, but it seems like hes just completely dependent on everyone else. I can forgive bad performances, i cant forgive poor attitude and especially the social media victim essays after hes just pulled a 2/10 performance.

Rashford has victim mentality. Not a winner

I was at the coventry game surrounded by Manc reds and everyone was roaring at ten hag to take him off. The "in the ground fans support him" thing is a lazy assumption and wrongly implies that criticism of him is undeserved.

Yes local players get extra leeway but there is a limit, and he's taken the piss for too long.

Henry Winter, in his own words. I am a friend of the Rashford family. Says it all. Average player on superstar wages.

Yes there is a human being in Rashford. So is there in any player on the planet. That dont mean they are free from criticism. When fans can tell with their own eyes that a player cant be bothered they are allowed to express their feelings about that. Rashford IF he is going to stay needs to be backup for our other players who actually work their asses off.

Here are the facts.. If Rashford doesnt improve the new executive wont carry him just coz he is an academy product. Omar and Dan arent there to baby sit players thats y we kept Lingard, Adreas and now Scott. That time has passed pull up ur sock or pack ur bags is the new normal.

The fact is, Rashford should be one of the leaders in the team (only Casemiro, Fernandes and Maguire are really ahead of him in terms of seniority, and two of them surely won't be at the club within 12 months).

He should be stepping up when we're playing badly, but he still relies on others.

Criticizing a player for getting paid to play who shows no motivation or desire to play for his club is not hate but rightful criticism.
It’s not hate Joe, it’s criticism. Stop insulting the fans who have every right to voice their criticisms.
As for Shaw, if this was Martial there would be wall to wall hate in the mainstream media.

My problem with Rashford is it isn't the first time he's downed tools, he's been forgiven once before

One of the most reliable and sensible journos with a lot of nous. Unlike our friend Mr Luckhurst who satisfies none of those traits.

The performance Rashford made in the community shield against is not what we are entertaining to see again, going into the season. Not acceptable. He need to look ready to play, his body language is really terrible even with the ball and losing the ball. Need to change or else, we are coming for him out.

I couldn't give a shit if their were 2 humans inside Rashford, if he continues his shit run of form ( nearly a season and a half long) and isn't dropped then he will continue to get criticised by the fans. Its not that he's having a bad run of form it's that Ten Hag keeps picking him and Rashford keeps letting him. When you have a patch of bad form you get dropped until you show signs of improvement in the reserves, but for some reason not Rashford, so that needs to change.
