The first verse to this song I wrote a couple nights ago 
All alone in my bedroom I’m all cooped up, had the lights low 
And I was gonna continue with the same theme for this verse 2
But I was too tired, it was getting late like curfew 
So I slept there 
Woke early got fresh air 
Road trip to see the in-laws out in Las Vegas I’ll finish writing when I get there 
Got there and I went on
My laptop so I could check on 
That first verse that I laid down trying figure out where I left off 
Started writing but I couldn’t do it
Something wasn’t feeling right (nah)
How can I be writing something dark

Just gotta say as a 40yr old white dude that's always loved all forms of music including GOOD rap. This is beautiful rap! I watched a video on YT on how rap started and it was POSITIVE lyrics! This song reminded me of that. It's truly back to the OR. ( I know OG fits better, but OG is negative in connotation. No person in a culture should aspire to be a Gangster.) Plus, Conner is bringing in rappers from all over the world in his Spinnin It campaign. I love the recognition of world rappers! This music hits hard to my generation, but really is for all generations and cultures. I really hope Conner stays true to these roots and to this campaign. More rappers need to follow this masterpiece.
