I guess every company needs a marketing effort but this was a failure. You threw out three of the original benchmarks when you saw that you were not going to hit your goal and switched to Cinebench. You really have improved but non sense like this should be left to Intel.

Carrizo allegedly has 2, 4x the perf per watt along with 2x lower power and almost 1, 5x gain in perf. But will there be decent notebooks or will Intel and OEMs keep the market locked down to HDD, crappy screen, crappy trackpad, crappy mouse, crappy ram config(single channel like 2 + 4GB or 1 stick of 8GB), gimped battery capacity and many more things.

We will see however for the US market there is really no hope for Europe it may be different but even that I sadly doubt. I hope all they said is true it would really make Carrizo in a great product a engineering marvel considering all this was done on 28nm. Competiting with Intel who is 2 full node shrinks ahead and according to their internal testing it is better than Broadwell's i5 5200 in pretty much everything important.

But again internal testing is just that and we need to wait for reviews before judging. Even if they are extremely positive which I think they will be as even Tom's said this is going to be a paradigm shift for the mobile market. That leaves us with the problem of only low quality laptops having this amazing chip.
