Boomerang - 2014/2015 bumpers

If you don't already know, Boomerang (US) is finally rebranding after all these years. The rebrand is going to take effect somewhere in early 2015 and will introduce a new look, logo and a mix of classic and contemporary cartoons.
I got these bumpers from Boomerang Latin America's website, where they've already rebranded and abandoned the teenage era. Australia will rebrand on Nov. 3 and Europe is expected to do it in early 2015.

I appreciate the fact that they've brought back some newer "old cartoons, " such as Fosters, and even the Loony Toons Show, and while the bumpers aren't exactly my cup of tea, the tin toy era had been around for a very long time. I loved the older bumpers, I just wish they had updated them; seeing the same bumpers and shorts from 2004 makes it almost seem as the entire network was on one long video loop, which, in a sense, it kind of was. But, either way, Boomerang was founded on airing the classic Hannah Barbara, Merry Melodies and Warner Brothers cartoons which Cartoon Network used to exclusively air after it's founding. I'm all fine with rebranding bumpers and blocks, but to take off more vintage cartoons and replace them with shows currently airing on the flagship station is insane.

In my opinion, this was a horrendous marketing decision for Boomerang. 1) There is absolutely no correlation to why the channel is called 'Boomerang' anymore. Don't you remember, "It's all coming back to you!"? Like a boomerang? I sure do. They should've just renamed the channel, "Cartoon Network 2". 2) The new logo doesn't even incorporate a boomerang in it. Last time I checked, a 3D prism doesn't correlate well with a boomerang - makes sense to me. 3) According to DirecTV's official description for Boomerang, it is full of classic programming, 90% of which can't be seen anywhere else. Looks like they neglected to mention the fact you can also view the same thing on CN. 4) Lastly, I am extremely upset that this is the outcome to Boomerang's "rebrand". I remember when I was little and gathering around the TV all day, watching nothing but what was on Boomerang. I wouldn't dare change the channel, because everything on Boomerang was something I liked. I guess we'll also just have to find a channel that doesn't sell-out on their loyal audience. I hope I'm wrong, and I hope that Boomerang decides to do something better with their channel, but for now, this outcome has become a reality.

It's really sad that December 2014 was the last time I watched Bommerang with it's old bumpers and shows. Now look at it. It makes me miss 2014, the last year Boomerang was awesome. :(

When I was young I used to always watch CN and Boomerang mainly because I loved Scooby Doo and Tom and Jerry. Boomerang was my most favorite because I used to like shows like Dexter's laboratory and I always loved when they'll play the clips of Josie and the Pussycats. I'm 15 now but I always enjoyed Boomerang ahhh I remember Boomerang kingdom as well I enjoyed Boomerang but now it's just gone more Modern to bring ratings now a days it's all about the money. I wish they'll go back to what they're known for.

I remember the first day of this channel the very first day of this channel waking up I was like excited to watch some good old classic boomerang and then I turned on the channel to this crap and that broke my heart. I want the old boomerang

I really miss the old Boomerang (mostly the 2012 rebrand). I remember when I looked at the Boomerang in 2015 I thought that I was on a wrong channel, but then I had to figure out that this is the new Boomerang :(
