Very good points by Dr. Eric Hagopian. I think the world would be a a better place if U.S and Russia cooperated including in Armenia. I think Armenia could also play a role in that. Even if a humble role is attributed to Armenia in that process, it won't be bad for anybody..They seem to come to eachother's throats and cynical, obscure forces take benefit from it. Both are nuclear powers, exploring space. Both can be seen as somekind of a Modern Rome. It is obvious that U.S has the upper hand in areas touching the economy. Russia is no more after Leninism. If U.S shows some sort of positive approach to Russians, they will reciprocate to it.

Aliyev has clearly said that Yerevan is Azeri and he is willing to take it. Armenians need quick military reform and put Russia at accountability for Azeri breaks in cease fire. EU will not help. They are almost completely squarely in the pockets of Baku oil interests

Eric is echoing what I've always said, a strong economy is what creates a countries' security and funds the military. That being said to all my diaspora Armenian brothers and sisters, put aside your politics and go visit the land and go often. Take your families, encourage your friends and others to go, spend money there, open up business, whatever it is, go there and see with your own eyes what is and is not. We Armenians are a proud people that have been around for 4000 years. The Babylonians, Assyrians, Kurds, Chaldeans, Sumerians, and many other huge and powerful civilizations have either completely perished or no longer have their own lands. Our people were there during their time and we are still here! If all 8 million of us spent $1000 in Armenia we would raise 8 billion dollars over a summer. Lets use that pride not to create more stubbornness amongst each other but to empower our will to help our country and our ancient culture. Do it for our forefathers that sacrificed everything to get us here today.
