Wave Speed Equation - GCSE Physics
Показать описание
This video introduces the wave speed equation. This important equation lets us find out how fast a wave is travelling, and the relationship between frequency and wavelength.
The speed of a wave is how fast the energy is transferred by the wave, measured in m/s. For a fixed wave speed, if we increase the frequency, the wavelength decreases and vice versa.
The equation is given as: wave speed = frequency x wavelength, v = fλ. This can be remembered using "very fluffy lambs", v = fλ.
