Introduction to PHP Programming | PHP Tutorial | PHP For Beginners | Learn PHP Programming. Introduction to PHP programming, is the first episode in this PHP tutorial for beginners series. This is a complete PHP tutorial for absolute beginners, teaches PHP to people who are new at it.

PHP is easy to learn and should not be made harder than it really is, and this is what I'm hoping to accomplish. In this lesson I will introduce the programming language called PHP and talk about the requirements of getting started on it. I will also give examples of what you can do with PHP.

"IS THE COURSE STILL RELEVANT IN 2022?"

I get this question quite often, so let me answer it here in a pinned comment. 🙂

Yes, the course is still relevant in 2022, and most likely will be for the next many years to come. This course covers the fundamentals of PHP, meaning that unless PHP gets changed at its core, this course will remain relevant for a LONG time.

Fun fact... Whenever something is changed in ANY web based programming language, it will be done without ruining the existing establish code. Otherwise EVERY website out there today, which were created before the changes, would all of a sudden stop working. So unless it is a major security based change, everything taught in this course will remain relevant. 🙂

Just be aware that other more advanced courses out there on YouTube, which teaches things that are meant for experienced PHP developers, might be subject to change over time as PHP is updated. Since they don't focus as much on the "core" PHP language, but more on building features, which is more likely to become obsolete after major PHP updates.

One of the few things that intimidate people to learn a new coding skill is where to start. 3:38 - very good point. While HTML and CSS can give you immediate visual results (you write the code, refresh the page), PHP is all preprocessed, and if you're writing code that only executes based on specific circumstances, you have to plan beforehand how to trigger all possible outcomes, and how to handle the content that is outputted for each one.
