The Silver Shields (The Seleucid Empire - Ancient Epic Battle Music)

A theme I wrote for one of my favorite total war factions.

The Seleucid Empire was the Hellenistic kingdom of the Macedonian dynasty of the Seleucids, whose rule began with the collapse of Alexander the Great's empire. The Seleucid Empire faded away between Roman and Parthian growth of power in the 1st century BCE.

The Argyraspides ("Silver Shields") were a division of the Macedonian army of Alexander the Great, who were so called because they carried silver-plated shields. They were veterans, and although most of them were over sixty, they were feared and revered due to their battle skills and experience. The Seleucid kings of Syria employed an infantry phalangite corps of the same name.

Its not what I expected, but damn I love it. It sounded more like ancient espionage force rather than elite destroyer army, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, and it fits the tone of the Seleucids anyway. Keep up the great work man.

Wouldn’t it make more sense fir the anchor to be upright?
Feels like some people saw the famous picture when googled that reads “inverted anchor” they think it’s always supposed to be that way.
I’ve seen coins, minted, and other things that have the anchor upright and that makes more sense
After all, this is a symbol of a Grecian dynasty ruling over an area of non-Greeks. they’re known as people of the sea, and the original story for the first of the dynasty has to do with a birthmark of an anchor
if it’s upside down, nobody knows what the hell it is in the ancient world, they can’t Google it, upside down just causes confusion

Alexander gave birth to the greatest Greek empires which include the Greek Macedonian empire, the Seleucid empire under Seleucis I nicator and Greek Ptolemaic Egypt under the Greek Macedonian general Ptolemy who became Pharaoh and founder of the last dynasty of ancient Egypt which includes cleopatra.
