Many believed that having children brings purpose in life, but in my opinion it also bring anxiety in this uncertain world we live.

I'm 30, will be 31 in 4 months, and I refuse to have children. I live every single day in chronic pain. There's never a day that I'm not in pain. I have chronic anxiety, adhd and am autistic. Its a very difficult existence, but I try my best each and every day for the ones that I love.

In the UK, when someone dies you’ll often hear people say “it’s a blessing”. So, if it’s a blessing to no longer be conscious and suffering, surely it is also to be considered a blessing to have never been born into consciousnous and therefore to have never suffered. The very first thing a newborn baby does when leaving the womb is cry uncontrollably. Already, the suffering has begun…

I 100% don't want to do this life thing again. Why bring an innocent soul to suffer here...

Before I was born, I never had a bad day. - Doug Stanhope. My grand mother a devout Christian said we have it all backwards. We mourn when someone dies and rejoice when a baby is born.

Wishing never to have been born DOES NOT EQUAL Wanting to delete one’s self.

I can totally empathize with Cioran. I never had children and it was a very deliberate choice. I simply rejected to bring children to a developing country with many problems. The overpopulation and climate crisis were other notable factors. No matter where you are born, life is pointless and mostly bitter. If you don't have a belief system to lull yourself to sleepwalk through life, it can be unbearable.

At last, a philosophy that matches my own! If I had been given a choice, I'd prefer not to have been born. That's not to say I've had a miserable life. It's been OK, very good at times. But everything I've seen and experienced of life leaves me totally unimpressed.

My father used to say that having children is the most egotistical thing you could do. I agree.
41 and choosing not to have children of my own (don't mind adopting).

I wish anybody that reads this a life of joy and love
A feeling of contentment with yourself
I don’t know you, and likely never will, but I’m glad you’re here as are many others

The funniest saddest thing I hear that people say oh you don’t have children you gonna die alone I response saying since when we die in groups while we holding hands together.
