I took a very hastily planned flight and forgot a watch. After I landed, I found and bought a $40 Casio solar thinking I'd use it while I was gone and toss it when I got home. Now 11 years later, I still wear the thing on many weekends and always when working outside. If that's not value, I don't know what is.

I bought a Casio g-shock out of hs in the 90s. House burned down, watch survived. 2 car wrecks and an ATV wreck. Watch survived. Best 49 bucks I ever spent.

1. Buy your first Casio G-SHOCK
2. Buy more Casio G-SHOCKs, each progressively getting more expensive
3. Get into the modding rabbit hole
4. Buy a shiny $5000+ MR-G as your G-SHOCK holy grail

When your parents or partner ask you how much did the MR-G cost, tell them "it's just a $50 Casio, don't worry about it".

I bought a 10 dollar casio at Walmart for basic training. I've been wearing it for over 4 years now and can say it's the most durable and long lasting watch I've ever worn. Love my casio. Even had some dude try to buy it off of me lol

Got gifted a baby g 5 years ago and i wore that thing for 3 years straight never taking it off. Went swimming with it and played color wars at my camp. It was pink and over the years it turned a brown pink but still work and everything was great. Dove under water with it and Scooba dived, and the battery died in the watch after about 5 years of having it. Im not some ballerina either. That watch had scratches and was beat up but still worked like it did day one out the box. FANTASTIC watch! Its the only brand I buy!

My grandfather is number 74 on the Forbes list and the only watch he’s ever given me was a gold plated Casio from the 1970’s and I absolutely love it

If we're talking about watches, my grandpas old school seiko watch from 1990 that still works is always my favourite. The kinetic watch still gets me excited to go out and is able to handle all my use

They are really good. Got a G shock gd100 as a gift in 2014 it said on box that battery will need to be replaced in 7 years. It was actually working till 2021 then it died. Thats just amazing. Still have it.
