This show makes a good argument for adaptations of works, as it smooths a lot of the rougher edges off the original version of the story, including explanations for some things that got left out, and even adding some to the characters, allowing them to be real people rather than just plot points.

One of the best is that the Heroine is NOT simply a judgemental person, acting out of paranoia at one point, but is actually under a form of mind control/influence, meaning when its over, she's horrified by what she almost did, rather than feeling she was in the right for some reason.
