Low light test - CMOS vs. CCD sensors (Digital cameras)

I understand these are very different sensors but.....I test the image quality and noise difference between the CMOS sensor in my Canon T1i and the CCD sensor in my Canon SD780is digital cameras. Interesting! The CMOS sensor seems to have much better low light sensitivity. The CCD has many advantages but low light is not one of them.
