Some things just naturally go together. Peanut butter and chocolate. Pumpkin pie and whipped cream. The Doors and Type O Negative. This is a perfect collaboration, yet you still have to have insane talent to pull it off -- and you definitely have that talent, because this is superb!

I just had a close death in the family, and I've been coping with music, Type O of course, and was thinking of what I might be able to suggest to you for a future video.

Then I was listening to a lesser known band that has a song that strikes a chord with me (no pun intended).

Woods of Ypres and the song: "I was Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery".

I love the song, but always hated the distortion they used. I love a good distortion (White Zombie among my favorites) but what they used... it's too fuzzy for the emotional vocals. Plus the overall production is severely lacking, but it's too good of a song to let fall by the wayside. Then hearing it as a Type O Negative song made a lot of sense.

But then... so did Alice in Chains. Staley and Steele would both be perfect, and now I'm conflicted. 🤔

Personally it doesn't sound like the original song at all but definitely sounds like Type O with lyrics from that song...still very good regardless

I do have an off topic question for you...what are you using for hardware/software to record with ...I've recorded a few songs and they're on Spotify but I'm still not completely happy with my guitar tone. So I'd love to talk to you about how your setup works and ways I could improve mine. Been listening to you for quite awhile now and one of my inspirations to pursue doing everything myself.
