It's common for us to say a vehicle has been reborn or even reimagined. But seldom do they get a complete reboot like the Mitsubishi Outlander has. It's not just a new version of a familiar design, but an all-new cooperative effort with partner Nissan. So let's hit the road in the new Outlander and find out if it’s a win for both Mitsubishi and for compact crossover buyers.

I've seen these on the road. They look even better in person.

I remember when John Davis used to call 8.5 sec 0-60 time 'blistering'; of course that was 35 years ago :)

By far this is the best Mitsubishi interior on any model any year.

Just pick up my 2022 outlander love it . I don't know how much horsepower you want on a small crossover. Acceleration and Power is great. So far so good no complaints. My Third Mitsubishi

can we just take a moment to acknowledge the freakishly tall 3rd row headrests?

Such a good-looking crossover (and I’m no crossover fan), let down by that horrid and tired Nissan powertrain (the CVT being the big letdown—I think the engine is fine and would be better with a real transmission). I would much rather have a Mitsubishi drivetrain.

So great how it's modern show but still feels like the original show thank you

The 07’ V6 took 8.9 seconds to hit 60 in their test. Loved that car, and the engine sounded great… but this car beats the old one, and that had 220hp.

If this just had more power, it’d be a home run fore Mitsubishi… It’s a VERY nice looking vehicle!

A turbo-4 at 250h/250t and an Aisin or ZF 8-speed trans and this thing would rule the world....

Every time I see a Mitsubishi Outlander in traffic I have to yell out “outlander!!” the same way Malachai did in Children of the Corn.

It's hard to believe its based upon the Nissan Rogue. Nice styling inside and out. One of my co workers has one in black and its nice.

This car handles like a sports car! Plus the interior feels like a Lexus with only a fraction of the price! Plus the reliability rate of this car is rated very high by both "repairpal" and "jd power". I hope to buy this car soon 🤞

This SUV is a front end redesign away from being one of the most attractive SUVs on the road; the wacky headlight/grill arrangement ruins the look imo.

Went to the local Mitsubishi dealership to see this with my sister and her husband. It looks really good in person and the ES with the Convenience Package was well equipped. If I was in the market for a crossover I would get it honestly. I had a 2014 and 2018 Outlander Sport and they were adequate vehicles.

I was behind an Outlander SEL with S-AWC in local, stop and go traffic. It seemed to not only accelerate just fine, it was well ahead of me by the time we hit subsequent traffic lights.

I REALLY like this vehicle. It goes plenty fast enough, you just have to know the sweet spots in the torque curve under different conditions.

I own this monster. There is NO CAR that compares to the handling feel and ride quality of outlander. This is sooo good on gas too. I get 14km per litre on the 80km speed highways and around 13km on 100km highways. This is the best car out there

Mitsubishi is still here. And John Davis is still here. Thank The Lord.

I remember looking forward to this show in my not too steady youth years- it brought some comfort and
regularity- great memories
Good to see this man and his show still thriving in the niche he so sucessfully filled.
Thanks bro

Insignificant tiny engine for that land boat. Outside looks good .
