Anyone that’s been in Texas please add what you all think 🤔 and the average hot temperature you all think 🤔

I alost stopped at 30 seconds. June "average" temperature is NOT "109". That is a very occasional HIGH. Ditto July & August reported here. June 2024 was actually mild this year. Maybe ONE day over 100.

What have you been smoking? The temperature averages for June, July and August are fraudulent. Hot, yes, but those averages are not correct.

I am a Texan, Austin very rarely gets snow. Temperatures usually are in the 90s in the summer months it is rare it is 112!! I think she might be using heat index. It is a great city and area, yes there are some traffic issues. Property taxes are on high side but NO STATE INCOME TAXES!

Austin city council spent $125 million to build a library that nobody uses but there's still no crosstown highway. 290 was supposed to be that but the NIMBY residents stopped it so now everyone has to deal with it. Same with Cesar Chavez street. Should be a highway connecting 35 to the MoPac. The real solution to traffic in Austin is to make 130 the designated truck route for all HGV's not delivering to Austin and free to them. Just removing those vehicles from traveling through Austin would drastically lower the volume on 35 through town. Make MoPac double decked with the express lanes across the river to Skyway and 360.

So you say Austin is cold in winter and hot in summer. No one wants to live here because their two much traffic and rent is to high. The places to eat do not have food that taste like their mother makes. So who are all these people I see around here?

heat, traffic, high prices for housing, high property taxes, homeless, crime -- lived there 84-87, can't afford to return and it's not what it was

I dont totally agree with the cuisines point of Austin. If ymvisit near N Lamar/burnet or burnet/183, u'll find a lot of east asian options.

Property taxes are unconstitutional. Taxing on unrealized gain. Reevaluations are unvoted tax increases plus are not based on improvements but on the sale of other properties. Attaching homes to taxes is wrong. It doesn't matter if someone lived in a home 50 years and paid taxes for 50 years, if you miss paying your properties taxes, your property is seized.

You forgot about the homeless tent cities & the drugs. Very liberal.

Exactly I've had more ear and sinus infections in one year living in Texas than my entire adult life living in California.

Not many ppl are paying $1753 per month on rent when at least half of Americans are struggling financially in general, how did we come up with this figure?

I agree with earlier comments that average summer temps appear to be overstated. But it still is WAY too f*cking hot and humid. Property taxes also suck…..as high as California. Sure there is no state tax, but if your family needs state services (e.g., a disabled re are FEW if any state services available. I left Texas in 1987 when Austin was still a great place to live, it is now just another large city. Food choices are great, though……..another point I would disagree with.
