I keep a very paired down daily wardrobe, with almost no black. Black is harsh. I tend to choose blues, tans, and greys. Used to be a dedicated thrift shopper, but I ended up spending MORE money, and had a heap of clothes that were mostly not-quite-right. I now buy new instead, and if an item is simply perfect, I'll buy two or more. That is still more frugal in the long-run, and I don't waste any effort in the morning deciding what to wear.
