I did this a few years ago then took it down. Just today I thought about it again and decided it's time to re-upload.

Just for fun.

Maybe more old deleted videos to come. Stay tuned.

Also, to be clear, I didn’t expect everyone to figure this out. I always expected that the folks would realize it was a music puzzle and then enlist the help of music experts in the community. It wouldn’t actually be that hard for a composer. Then I fully expected the solution to be shared with everyone. Easy peasy

You are a national treasure for an entire generation, Marty! For all the 2000s kids like myself, your music was like a rallying cry to an epic call to war! (after school, after homework)

4, 6, 5, 4, 5, 3, 4 we thought it was the ring tone typed on a flip cell phone back then that's how me and my friends figured it out cause I didn't have the Internet back then.

This makes much more sense. Additional unintended symbolism, the final skull in the final game uses the final phrase of the original game in order to take you full circle.

The poetry that manifested itself within the studio back in those days of Bungie was beautiful. Same with Marathon. It was done artfully, and with care.

We thank you for your amazing contributions to video games and entertainment as a whole. Your music has inspired countless people, and has personally been a huge part of my life.

When i was a kid, my parents hated videogames and i didnt have Xbox LIVE until well into Reach's lifespan. Playing the trilogy and reach solo as a kid, i missed and misunderstood much, but one thing was easy enough for even a child to understand: the beautiful music! Id sit at the pause main menu and just listen. I think that was the first time in my life that i ever sat down and just appreciated something like that. Then years later as i got connected to the internet and simply grew up, i found out how many secrets and little things in each game there were. In my opinion thats a MAJOR reason why halo is still alive today. The audience grew up with the games and revisted them again and again as they themselves delevoped and understood more. I cant express how important Halo was to me as a kid. My first videogame, my first game to play online with other people, the first game to make me cry. Purchased across several console generations and they just always seemed to get cooler with each release haha. Halo 3 ODST will always be my favorite.

The way I said “holy shit” when you were putting together the flood saying “do not shoot, but listen”. I can’t even keep typing right now this is why I have a halo 3 game disc rug on my floor. Thank you.

At the risk of sounding like a total nerd. Thanks for reuploading this. I've been getting back into the Halo series with the games and books combined to rediscover what I loved so much about the series growing up. The music was always the most impactful part of the story for me. Now I'm studying music/music production in college with dreams of making something myself. I have no idea if I have the ability to do so but I'm going to go for it. I'll have to teach myself a lot as well, but I think I'm on the right track. Thanks again Marty!
